Kidbox Winter 2018 Review

I did not mean to get a Kidbox right now. My son has a lot of clothes and he is in the middle of transitioning between sizes. However, I was out-of-town when I got the e-mail and when I got home and remembered to say “skip” it was too late. It did workout though because winter came early and we realized we hardly have any long-sleeves.

Here is how it works:

  1. Go to the website and fill out a style survey. They ask for things such as colors to avoid, what do you need more of, what will they not wear, their style.
  2. They only ship out 5 times a year but you can skip a season if you would like.
  3. Review the box. You have 7 days before you are billed. If you keep everything, it is $98. If you keep only a few pieces, they offer it at a discount.
  4. Ship back what you do not want.
  5. If you kept it all, pick a charity you want Kidbox to donate clothes to.

We did not keep the whole box because we only needed a few pieces.  Here is what we got:

IMG_20181119_193800472 (2)

  1. Adidas Long Sleeve $17

We kept this shirt because we need more long sleeve shirts. We liked that it was not white and he does play soccer.

2. Puma 2 Piece Hoodie and Pant Set $42

This set was cute but the pants looked huge. Also, my son is sort of a nudist so getting him to wear a hoodie takes a miracle. He has even had to miss recess a few times for it. So we returned it.

3. Flapdoodles Boys Raglan Tee $13

It is long sleeves, soft and blue so we kept. Blue shirts really make my sons eyes pop.

4. Miki B Boys Camo Joggers $26

I hate camo, I really do. Plus these felt almost like PJ material so back they went.

5. Nanette Batman Tee $12

My son loves Batman but this went back because of the T-shirt problem. Plus I could always get him a Batman shirt later on at Target or Old Navy.

6. Paper Demin and Cloth Boys Jean $33

These went back as we did not need any jeans currently.

7. Reebox Boys Tee $17

Again, short sleeve so it went back.

The area we live in does not get cold often or for too long but our son only had like 5 long-sleeved shirts and I was sick of washing them constantly so I was only looking for long sleeves.

Kidbox Back to School 2018 Review

My husband and I decided to get my son another Kidbox with his next size up. Not that he is there yet but it will be nice to have once he gets there.

In this box we also got a water bottle and a coupon. Kidbox has another box called Kidsentials  and they are $30/box which gives you socks and underwear. The coupon is to try is for $15. We will probably try it but his next size. We signed him for the sporty style box.

IMG_20180807_195257846

  1. Adidas Boys Logo Tee $20, their price $15
  2. Lee Color Block Raglan Short Sleeve $33, their price $25
  3. DKNY Boys Subway Raglan Tee $18, their price $14
  4. Puma Boys Color Block Fleece $34, their price $26
  5. Puma Boys French Terry Jogger $36, their price $27
  6. Lee Boys Slim Fit Stretch Denim Jean $36, their price $27
  7. Reebox Boys 3PC Set $66, their price $50

So all the prices come to $243 or $184 their price. However, if you keep everything it is only $98.

We like almost everything in this box. The Puma sweatshirt is not my favorite but my son will not wear coats but will wear a sweatshirt so it will work for his school cubby. I do wish there was maybe one long-sleeve top but our winter was so nice last year that this year will probably be terrible(meaning really warm) and we might not really need any this year.

Summer 2018 Kidbox

I decided to get my son another Kidbox, one for summer. My son is starting to outgrow his 2T clothes so I was interested in what we would get.

So I thought I took a picture of the clothes but I didn’t and now I am too lazy to go get them out of his dresses.

So here is my “bill.” You can see the retail price and their discount. So if you keep everything, it costs only $98. We loved almost everything we got this month except the ECKO clothes. They seem huge. The Puma 2 piece is adorable as are the two shirts from Appaman and Andy + Evan. The Reebox shorts are also nice. My son is very active and during the school year he plays soccer and takes a yoga class.

We are always happy with the whole Kidbox process. Want to try it? Go here.

Kidbox Spring 2018 Review

A couple of weeks ago, I got an e-mail about if I want to order a spring Kidbox for my son. I haven’t ordered him a box in some time now and he is starting to change sizes so I thought it might be perfect time to order him a box. In reality, I probably should have skipped it because I am getting all my fun hospital bills but its only money, right?? Oh, I am being completely facetious with that last comment.

  5. If you kept it all, pick a charity you want Kidbox to donate clothes to.

The information card

IMG_20180307_193352241

  1. Puma Boys 2 Piece Top and Short Set $42, their price $32

I love this set. My son is pretty active and involved in sports. He plays soccer, swims, just started yoga and loves to trail run so this is perfect for him.

2. DKNY Boys 3 Piece Set $66, their price $50

The set is a jacket, jeans and short sleeve. My son does like layers so we will not be wearing the jacket most likely.

3. ART+EDEN Boys graphic tee $29, their price $22.

My son loves dinosaurs so this is a win.

4. U.S. Polo Assn. Boys Short Sleeve Stripe Shirt $18, their price $13.

Cute button up shirt.

The little giraffe stuffed animal, I think came from the box, otherwise I have no idea where it came from.

IMG_20180307_193313339

  1. This is the back of the DKNY outfit.

2. U.S Polo Assn. Boys Twill Short with belt $24, their price $17

We wear shorts like 10 months out of the year so these are perfect.

3. Puma Boys Performance Tee $22, their price $17.

Another great short but my athletic kid.

Total came to $201 but their box is only $98. For some reason, I had a discount which made my total to $78.40. I don’t know how I got a discount but I will keep it. Want to try Kidbox? Go here.

Kidbox Summer 17

Last month, I ordered a summer box for my son at Kidbox. He needs more summer clothes because summer last about 10 months here and it was well into the high 80s. We go through shorts and t-shirts like crazy and have been since January. My son needed more 2T since that is the size he is in or about to be in(depending on brand).

While it is not the cheapest, it is easy which is good during the school year.  We normally shop at Target, Carter’s and Gymboree for him and usually on sale but this introduces us to different brands and styles.

Description Card

So it comes with a return label for size exchanges or things you do not like. It also comes with a card telling you everything you go, how much it originally cost and what it would cost you if bought separate. Sorry for crayon scribbles but my son was coloring. It also comes with crayons because the box is white and looks like a coloring sheet and a sheet of stickers. All the information comes in a clear zip bag which we now use to hold wet kid swimsuits while camping.

What we got

So the items we got going left to right are (I am putting their discount price):

Art + Aden Boys Short Sleeve Henley Tee in white $20

This is white shirt with blue sleeves.  The tee is soft and cute but looks short for my boy who is pretty tall but a stick (trust me, I feed him).

7 for All Mankind Boys 2pc Set with Jeans and Tee in grey $42

This is the ombre shirt and jeans.  I love this outfit!  I cannot wait for him to wear it this fall when it cools to the 70s. This was my favorite thing in the box.

Penguin Graphic Teein blue $14

Blue T-shirt with the penguin.  I love the colors as my son has blue eyes so I know they will brighten them up.

U.S. Polo Assn. Boys Drawstring Roll Up Pant in brown $18

As a family of campers/hikers/outdoors people, these will be perfect for when it is warm in the day but chilly at night.

Penguin Short Sleeve Henley in blue $18

Another blue top of bring out the color of my sons eyes. We have a wedding to go to this summer so it will be a nice top for the wedding. I think this was my husbands favorite item.

Losan Denim shorts $35

Not crazy about denim shorts for boys/men but it was cheaper to keep it then send it back.

So retail for everything would have $205, and with their prices $147 but since I kept everything it was only $98.  Not too bad.
