Stitch Fix October 2017 Review

This month my fix got here a little early. I asked for my same stylists and I told them I am looking for a black pencil skirt to replace one I have had for years that is falling apart.

For the people new to Stitch Fix, this is how it works:

1. Fill out your Style Profile. This gives detail on your style, sizes, budget and anything else like a link to your pinterest board.

2. Once you have “ordered” your box, they will send you 5 items from a personal stylists.  It is a $20 styling fee which is applied as a credit toward anything you keep.

3. Try everything on. They send you Style Cards with recommendations on how to wear your outfit.  You have three days to decide what you do and do not want.

4. Buy what you like and return the rest. If you keep all 5 items, you get 25% off your entire purchase.  Don’t like something, they send you a pre-paid mailing bag to drop in the mailbox.  It is free shipping.

Here is what I got:

MIA Amari Faux Suede Scallop Flats in Taupe $49

stitch fix 1

These shoes are keepers as they are very comfy. In the picture they look almost olive but they are taupe.

Margaret M Deandra Skirt in Black($78) and Vero Moda Derry Ruffle Detail Knit Top in Dark Pink($44)

Stitch fix 2

I am undecided on the black pencil skirt. I like it, but not sure if I want to pay the price. Plus I worry with the material that it will snag. For the shirt, I think my face says it all. It was too short, and too 70s for me.  I am not a ruffle fan personally and the colors just seem too outdated for me.

Same Skirt and 41Hawthorn Betsi Keyhole Surplice Knit Top($54)

Stitch Fix 3

Yeah, this top is cute but I guess I am too busty to wear it as it formed another inappropriate keyhole. Back it goes.

Same skirt, same top and Olive & Oak Miah Hooded Cardigan($54)

Stitch fix 4

The cardigan is very soft and warm but the hood was just too different for me. As you can see with my photo, I couldn’t take it seriously.
