I didn’t realize how long it has been. I have a lot of updates over the next couple of days.
First, I have a Stitch Fix update. I received this box on Friday in the middle of cleaning my house for the holidays. My hair is beyond bad. I should really try one time to do an update with good hair but I also know with a toddler running wild, I only have like 5 minutes to do this.
Here is how Stitch Fix works for the new people:
1. Fill out your Style Profile. This gives detail on your style, sizes, budget and anything else like a link to your pinterest board.
2. Once you have “ordered” your box, they will send you 5 items from a personal stylists. It is a $20 styling fee which is applied as a credit toward anything you keep.
3. Try everything on. They send you Style Cards with recommendations on how to wear your outfit. You have three days to decide what you do and do not want.
4. Buy what you like and return the rest. If you keep all 5 items, you get 25% off your entire purchase. Don’t like something, they send you a pre-paid mailing bag to drop in the mailbox. It is free shipping.
Here is what I got:
First up is the earrings.
Bay to Baubles Ida Layered Mini Hoops($28)
Not sure if I am keeping them. They are cute and simple plus silver which is the color of jewelry I prefer but I also do not wear earrings a lot. I always mean to but I would rather wear a necklace or bracelet. So I am undecided.
Fate Showen Jacket($88) and Just Black Joey Skinny Jean($88)
The jacket is a no. It is super cute and soft however, it is very short on my, like hardly below my belly button and tight. It was hard to zip it past the girls.
The jeans are 99% of a keep. They are comfy and fit great. Plus they are a color that I have been wanting for a while. I love burgundy because it actually goes with my complexion. I am just not a fan of the price but oh well, it is hard to find jeans that fit!
Same Jeans as above and Papermoon Lucasta Knit Top($38)
So after I take these photos, I send them to two friends who do not know each other. The reason: my husband says everything looks good on me. He will only say no to something if he hates the style. So my friends are harsher in a good way and tell me their opinions. One friend said this top could grow on her and the other said no right away so I say no. It is very soft but not really a fan of the cuff.
Lastly we have the Renee C Jerri Polka Dot Pullover Sweater($64)
I am a sucker for polka dot. This is a very cute sweater and I am at like 80% for keep. My hesitations: all my winter clothes are grey. I love color but for some reason, I keep buying grey in winter. It is 80 degrees today in December so it is not like I am living where the sun does not shine. Otherwise I love it.
Any thoughts on what I should and should not keep?
