Currently…

Today is my 3rd day off work due to flooding and it just started raining.  I really hope I have work tomorrow because I really don’t want to go extra in the summer.  At least my son’s school was open today and I did send him because he needed time with kids his own age, and we were not expecting to not have school so we do not have toddler friendly lunch food here.  Our sons school feeds him so we did not buy lunch groceries. He had a good extra two days of mommy and me time and now he needs baby friends and me time.

Currently listening to: the rain and breaking news segment on the rain that just started.  I feel so bad for everyone who was affected by the flooding.  I grew up in St. Louis and remember the horrible flood of ’93.  I also remember volunteering by building sandbags. Now, I am in a different state and flooding is really affecting us here.  It is horrible.  It is so sad to watch the news and see people’s lives that have been destroyed.

Currently feeling: sore.  I did Crossfit yesterday and man, it was a tough one.  For the weight lifting section we alternated between Bench Press and Front Squats with a 10, 9, 8 scheme or 1, 2, 3 scheme.  The Workout of the Day was optional but my class wanted to do it so I did as well which was 15-12-9 reps of Chest to Bars and Double Unders.  My shoulders and quads are very tired.

Currently reading: The Aviators Wife by Melanie Benjamin.  I cannot tell you if it is good or not because I just started it last night and only made it through the first chapter.

Currently thinking: I really should start packing for my quick trip to St. Louis this weekend and I really should be cleaning as well.  Two things I really dislike. I also probably should have let the dogs out before it started raining. There is also a basket full of clean clothes that needs to be folded.

Currently wearing: Adidas tank and Lululemon polka dot Groove Run shorts which are no longer made but that is okay because I love their Speed Shorts too. Hey, I might run today so might as well dress for it.

So one of things I am going to start is my tips for working out once you have kids, and also working out through pregnancy.  Those will come hopefully soon.
